Learn Mandarin while baking a delicious apple pie! In this hands-on class, participants will practice practical Mandarin vocabulary and expressions as they follow each step of the baking process.

You will leave with more than improved Mandarin skills—you’ll also take home an apple pie baked by you! Spend a relaxing weekend in the kitchen, meet new friends, and enjoy the warmth of learning, baking, and connecting with our community.

Yifang is the founder of Love Baked In and an experienced baker specializing in a variety of cookies and desserts. She enjoys sharing her passion for baking while connecting with participants, exchanging stories, and building friendships through delicious homemade treats.

Instructor Introduction: Jasmine Weiting Liu

Jasmine Weiting Liu is a Mandarin instructor at Tzu Chi Academy Long Island. She began teaching Mandarin in 2024 and is currently pursuing her Master of Education degree at Hofstra University. She is passionate about creating engaging and supportive learning experiences that help students use Mandarin with confidence in everyday life.
